A table of maximum permitted spurious emission power levels is given in Appendix 3 of the ITU Radio Regulations.
The spurious emission limits are specified in the following reference bandwidths:

| 150 kHz – 30 MHz | 10 kHz |
| 30 MHz – 1 GHz | 100 kHz |
| above 1 GHz | 1 MHz |
For unlicensed short range devices, usually a measurement distance of 3 m is taken.
